The detectors are designed to give excellent signal to noise for various light levels. To ashive this they have variable gain that so that they can be adjusted in the 10kV/A to 100MV/A range. Timing signals are supplied from a Single Diode Detector Timing Control Card so that the signal acquisition occurs in perfect synchronization with the laser.
